Are you accepting new patients?


Yes! We recommend booking a new patient visit with our Oral Health Therapist (also known as a dental hygienist).

This includes an initial examination and treatment plan by a dentist, standard x-rays, and hygiene care including scaling & polishing of the teeth.


* Further hygiene appointments may be required, depending on your oral health status

Can you improve the appearance of my smile?

Absolutely. Dalila and Richard both incorporate a full digital work-flow for cosmetic cases using the Trios "Smile Design" system - popular options include composite or porcelain veneers.

Do you have a dental hygienist?

Yes,we have an Oral Health Therapist. This allows a high standard of in-house "hygiene-care" for our patients.

Can you remove my impacted wisdom teeth?


Yes! Contact us to organise a wisdom tooth consultation.

At this visit, your dentist will examine the tooth (or teeth), take the required xrays, and discuss treatment options with you.

Can I have dental implant treatment in Whakatane?


Yes! We have the only 3D CBCT imaging unit in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, allowing us to take care of all stages of your dental implant treatment.

This begins with a consultation and CBCT scan to plan for your implant, followed by the surgical implant placement and lastly the crown placement. Without a single trip out of town.

How does free dental care for teens work?


Simply contact us to enrol with Phoenix House Dental Centre, and we provide free routine dental care for your teenager from year 9 until their 18th birthday.

If your child is currently in year 8, let your school dental service know that you would like us to provide their free dental care from next year.

Where can I get dentures?

Both partial and full dentures are available through your dentist at our practice.

Do you offer emergency appointments?


We offer urgent appointments for simple extractions and consultations for dental pain, subject to availability.
Contact us to discuss your situation.

We do not currently have an after hours or weekend service. If you experience a dental emergency during these times, please contact your GP or local emergency department.

How does WINZ dental treatment work?

Contact us to book in for a Work & Income Quote. You do not need to pay at the time of this visit.

Take your quote to WINZ to discuss with your case manager.

If approved, WINZ will load this on your payment card or deposit in our account.

We then process the approval and book in your dental treatment.

Can I use my Orbit Protect card?


We accept Orbit Protect cards for emergency dental treatment, which may cover up to $350 per event.

We accept cash, eftpos, credit cards, Q-Card, and AfterPay.
